MATHCOUNTS ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP

MATHCOUNTS was influential.

Scholarship Eligibility

Who Can Apply?

This scholarship is open to US students who are MATHCOUNTS alumni and are (or will be) enrolled in an accredited college/university.
 
You meet the MATHCOUNTS alum requirement if you participated in the MATHCOUNTS Competition Series (at the school, chapter, state or national level), National Math Club and/or Math Video Challenge when you were in grades 6-8.
 
You meet the college/university requirement if you are...
  • A senior in high school who will graduate in the spring/summer of the year of the scholarship, or
  • Pursuing a 2- or 4-year degree at an accredited community college, college or university (at any year in the program), or
  • Pursuing graduate level studies at an accredited college or university (at any year in the program).

To complete the application, you will need to input your basic information, information for up to 3 extracurriculars, information for up to 3 awards, and a 750-1000 word essay answering one of the following questions:

  • If you volunteered for MATHCOUNTS after participating in middle school, describe your role and explain why it was meaningful and how it impacted you.
  • Describe your favorite memory from your time in MATHCOUNTS and explain why it was meaningful and how it impacted you.
  • What did you learn from participating in MATHCOUNTS that you have used or believe you will use the most in the future?

We recommend looking at the application preview and typing your essay in a word document before beginning your application, as you will not be able to save your work in the application and come back to it.
